Barcelona, set to sack their manager, after 8-2 demolition by Bayern in the Champions League

FC Barcelona have reportedly concluded plans to sack their manager, Quique Setien, following an abysmal and embarrassing 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League quarter finals on Friday.

The Spanish side were among favourites to lift the trophy this season, after missing out on the La Liga title, but they ended up being blow away by a stronger Bayern side, courtesy of goals from Thomas Muller, Serge Gnabry, Ivan Perisic, Robert Lewandowski, Joshua Kimmich, and Philippe Coutinho.

Reliable football expert, Fabrizio Romano, now reports that Barca will sack their manager in the wake of the defeat, as they search for more competent hands to lead their charge next season.

His tweet read, "Barcelona have already decided to sack Quique Setién after the terrible defeat against Bayern Münich. He’ll not be the manager on next season."

Of course, we'll have to wait and see what happens to Setien, but knowing how reliable Fabrizio can be, it's hard to not feel worried for the embattled coach.
