Tiwa Savage’s song makes New York Times’ Best Songs Of 2020

 Top African female singer, Tiwa Savage, has been included on the New York Times list of the Best Songs of 2020.

The recognition is for her song, ‘Koroba’ which sits comfortably at number 8.

The global media organization describes Savage’s Koroba as “a crisp Afrobeats groove with hints of Middle Eastern modes, besieged by sudden salvos of percussion."

Taking to Instagram to acknowledge the honour, the talented songstress wrote;

“Another 1. #Koroba no8 on @nytimes best songs of 2020 Thank you Jon ❤ and to everyone streaming, doing dance videos, creating great content to my music.

Love you all I wanna drop my next project but I’m not sure you guys have finished memorizing every single lyric to #Celia yet 🤔🤔🤔 Y’all need to sing along with me when I go on this tour next year by God’s grace ❤🙏🏾

New York Times further added that “the Nigerian songwriter Tiwa Savage suavely mocks corrupt, immoral politicians.”
